Dolphin Heights Garden Cottage

The Dolphin Heights Garden Cottage is a space for a resident gardener to live and work on-site, providing garden care and maintenance in exchange for reduced rent. A full-time gardener will increase the productivity of the garden and also provide more opportunities for residents to interact with it - through educational events like seed planting workshops, nutrition lessons, and other events. This is particularly important to residents of Dolphin Heights who experience food insecurity and have a need for new and innovative affordable housing models.

The design was a collaboration with the Neighborhood Association. Construction was completed in-house. We’re currently working together to define the gardener-in-residence program.
